Bursa Rejects SCIB’s Request for Time Extension to Issue 2021 Annual Report
KUALA LUMPUR (26 October): Bursa Malaysia Securities has rejected Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd's (SCIB) request for extension of time (EOT) until December 31 to release its annual report for the year ended June 30, 2021.
The company said it was due to a change of external auditor and the movement restrictions in Malaysia and overseas due to Covid-19.
According to a statement released yesterday, this would result in the suspension of trading in the shares of SCIB on November 9 until further notice.
“The suspension of trading of SCIB’s securities will be effected on the next market day after the expiry of five market days from October 31,” the group stated.
